All money raised goes toward Scholarship awards for college-minded Brentwood High School Students. Our mission is to commemorate the lives of Martin Ames and Charles Elliott, two firefighters who passed away in the line of duty.

On Friday, January 8th at 04:28 hours activation was alerted for a Heavy Rescue with entrapement at Fifth Avenue and Sweenydale. 3-2-31 was first on scene and alerted incoming units of a car trapped underneath a tractor trailer with two victims inside. The crew from 3-2-18 along with Suffolk ES Units worked hand in hand to extricate the victims. 3-2-5 also was on scene.
The first working fire for 2016 occured on January 4th 2016 at 23:29 hours at 14 Virgil Drive. 1st Assistant Chief Mike Derbyshire was first on scene and transmitted the working fire. Chief Bill Peterson assumed Command and mutual aid departments include Islip,Bay Shore and East Brentwood as well as Brentwood VAC and Islip Exchange.

On Friday, December 11th at 2020 hours the BFD was alerted for a reported Structure fire at 47 Van Cedar Street. 2nd Assistant Chief John Boyle was first on the scene and observed heavy smoke coming from the structure. He ordered the working fire to be transmitted and the first Engine from Company 2 arrived on the scene and proceeded to stretch attack lines. 3rd Assistant Chief Ed Kelly arrived and assumed the role of Operations Chief. Mutual aids where requested from Commack, and Bay Shore as well as Brentwood Legion.
The Quillan Family have combined to serve and protect the residents and businesses of the Brentwood Fire District for over 76 years. Father, Frank and Brothers, Kevin and Mike have always been willing to sacrifice their time and efforts. Now, One Of Our Own needs help. Kevin’s son Andrew, 19, is need of a kidney transplant. Each of our families is all of our families. The Brentwood Fire Department and Sagtikos Engine Company Four are asking for you or someone you know to consider being a Life Hero.

Brentwood Fire responds to a vehicle fire around noon on Monday August 24,2015 on Second Ave & First St. With the arrival of both Assistant Chiefs Boyle 3-2-32 & Kelly 3-2-33 they confirmed to dispatcher 3-2-0 with a confirmed small engine fire upon their arrival. The Crew of Engine Company 5 along with a couple members from Hook & Ladder quickly went to work on knocking down the fire and keeping it from spreading throughout the rest of the vehicle. Also on scene was Suffolk County Police 3rd Pct.
