At 3:39 pm Brentwood Fire Dispatch was notified for a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and South Second Street in North Bay Shore. Secondary reports from Suffolk Police officers advised that the collision involving a concrete truck and a pickup truck had trapped the driver of the pickup inside the vehicle. Under the direction of Asst. Chief Manny D’Elio, members of Brentwood’s Truck Company went to work to extricate the victim from the wreck. The victim was freed and transported by Brentwood Ambulance to Southside Hospital in stable condition.
